Bob Fanning is in Nicaragua!!!

Bob and Meaghan began their adventure on a Nicaraguan volunteer program. Of course, the trip started off with their luggage being "misplaced." Although, rumor has it Bob's favorite polo shirts were being sold on the streets of Miami with new Louis Vuitton labels sewn on.

While Bob would like to convince us he's there on some humanitarian effort, we believe the truth lies somewhere in this link:

We're dying to know important things like:

- does the sausage on the biscuit and egg at McDonald's taste the same?
- Are the craftsman tools the same selection at Sears?
- do they put starch in their shirts the same as at American Cleaners.
- Are there as many Starbucks, or Panera Bread locations?

Inquiring minds wanna know...

Congratulations Laura!!!

We're VERY proud of you Laura...you did it and you weren't on the 10 year plan like your dear ol' dah!
I think that's cause for a little celebration.

Okay...if we're into funny video's...

I'm not sure what to say about this one. Give it a minute to get going, and tell me you didn't laugh out loud.

Kathryn's off to Washington D.C.

Kathryn's spending the week in Washington D.C. with 6 of her Nerinx school mates participating in the Close-Up program (http://www.closeup.org).
Close Up has been the nation’s leading civic education provider since 1971. In that time, its been their mission to educate, inspire, and empower individuals to become active citizens in our democracy. Each year, through their Washington, D.C.-based experiential learning programs and multi-media publications, they help students and teachers in schools nationwide develop the skills needed to begin a lifetime of active citizenship.

It should be a great experience, and we hope she enjoys her week.
In the meantime, we're struggling through an empty nest and we're bored already!

The Messiah has returned...and some are giving it a year at best.
Good luck boys. I hope you eventually break into the top 8. I suppose you deserve that.

Geordies are in trouble...

Manchester United have an uninspired 1st 1/2 that apparently foreced Sir Alex to have words...and I wish I could have been a fly on the wall. Man U scores 6 in the second half to destroy the Toon and bring the army to its knees.

Blues win 4 - 2

Mr. Fanning and I enjoyed sitting in the Maritz suite (compliments of Eileen), and watched St. Louis Blues goalie Manny Legace (34) and teammate Brad Boyes celebrate the Blues' 4-2 victory over the Dallas Stars. Boyes had two goals helping the Blues to victory.

Contract for Friendship - From Laurie Clarkson (ibew1@centurytel.net)

2008 Contract-----After serious & cautious consideration, your Contract of Friendship has been renewed for the New Year 2008!
It was a very hard decision to make. So try not to screw it up!!!

My Wish for You in 2008

May peace break into your house and may thieves come to steal your debts. May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet for $100 bills. May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips! May your clothes smell of success like smoking tires and may happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy. May the problems you had forget your home address! In simple words ............

May 2008 be the best year of your life!!!

Random thoughts on "No Country for Old Men"

-

We went to see this movie tonight. Has anyone seen it? Any thoughts?

If you've seen Fargo, it's a litttle like that...a Coen Brother's film. Very violent, with dark comedy.

It kept our interest for sure, as the movie progresses you seem to get deeper and deeper into the intensity, as the main character gets deeper and deeper into trouble.

And what about that ending? hmmmm..............
