Click here for a little Christmas silliness!

Hello Cuz! Hope you and all the Grahams and the Clarksons had a lovely Christmas and I wish you all a very happy new Year!

I'm just composing myself here after watching your snowball fight - the McGeary's are some crew aren't they?

This is a wonderful idea for keeping us in touch across the miles!

We had a nice Christmas this year although Aine is now walking and has turned into a mobile terrorist overnight! Colm and Una are well and getting very sophisticated with mobile phones glued to their ears courtesy of Santa and his never ending money pit (not!).

I'll post some photos soon and am looking forward to chatting with you all in cyberspace until the next time we all get together!

Love to everyone

Something cool that Xerox is doing

If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com <http://www.letssaythanks.com/> you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq . You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services.

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! This is a great site. Please send a card. It is FREE and it only takes a second.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are for or against the war, our guys and gals over there need to know we are behind them...

Last minute thoughtful Christmas gift idea...

I received one of these myself and I thought it was a really nice gesture.

Rest easy, sleep well my brothers. Know the line has held, your job is done.Rest easy, sleep well. Others have taken up where you fell, the line has held. Peace, peace, and farewell...

Readers may be interested to know that these wreaths -- some 5,000 -- are donated by the Worcester Wreath Co. of Harrington, Maine. The owner, Merrill Worcester, not only provides the wreaths, but covers the trucking expense as well. He's done this since 1992. A wonderful guy. Also, most years, groups of Maine school kids combine an educational trip to DC with this event to help out. Making this even more remarkable is the fact that Harrington is in one of the poorest parts of the state.

Celtic Lose ... United Roll on in big Derby Win!

Great blog Mike. Celtics disastrous loss today was somewhat lessened by the rumor that the legend Henrik Larsson may return to the bhoys in the new year. Christmas has come early for Celtic if that rumor is true. Speaking of an early Christmas, UTD 1 liverpool 0 today, happy times!

We love winter...

NOT! So far we've had an ice storm, and today about 5 - 6 inches of snow. Not a great start after 2 years of winters that never dropped below freezing.

Howdy!

Ok, I really have no idea what I am doing but my brother keeps sending me this to sign in. God love ya Mike. Another thing to keep track of. Pictures are cute and I was so excited to hear about Kathryn and the dance. That is kind of a big deal that people voted for her, since she just met all these kids a couple months ago.

Well I have signed in. I am now registered. Let me know when it is more that just you and me doing this.

Merry Christmas,

Guess who's an Ice Princess!!!

Yes, our little Kathryn was voted Junior Class Ice Princess at her schools Winter / Christmas dance... Thank god she looks like her mother. I thought I'd post a reminder of her early years on her way to Ice Princess stardom, while she was perfecting her makeup technique.

Congratulations Kathryn!

Pictures...

I have tried to keep pictures posted as I could...especially during our 2 years in the UK. Here's a few links:

One of my favorite photo's I took while fulfilling a childhood dream:

And here's another one when Cathy, Kathryn joined me in the middle of the excitement watching Celtic at the Shearer testamonial match, which was suppose to be a friendly. Seems though that nobody bothered to tell the players or supporters what a friendly is, because they don't understand the concept.

We were all hoarse and exhausted after 2 solid hours on our feet singing, including during halftime. Yes, and as promised, we have reminded everyone that the Celtic fans are the greatest in the world. (Sorry Ken!) :-)

One final note, I thought I'd link my post to youtube of Kathryn and friends on video at her schools (La Sagesse) talent show last year.

Mike

And in his 49th year, Mike created a Blog!

Maybe, just maybe, if we spread the word, we can use this spot to keep in touch, share stories, and keep everyone up on the latest news. Who knows...could be fun and time to enter the cyber world...although I think we may bring some of you kicking and screaming.

So, I got things started, and it's your turn to start the ball rolling. I'd suggest adding email addresses in your comments on this note, which will get us going. Feel free to add pictures, news, video's, whatever you like.

Enjoy!
